the pdf product sheet specifically states that the rmx is rack mountable and that "rack ears" are available for those who wish to do so. i sure as all hell cant find them. im even wondering if they actually exhist. can anybody help me out?

You could have a go at making your own though, it's quite simple, if you have the right tools that is.
The threaded holes are already there on the RMX, and all you need is some ali angle bar, cut to the right length, with holes drilled in it to match up with the ones on the RMX.

Yet even simpler way to rack mount the Rmx or Steel is to use glides, just like for drawers:

Pull out the console when you need it, push it back when you don't.
You could also get a shelf and use the holes to fix the console to it.
If I could produce and sell you a rack kit for the RMX (and/or Steel, I presume) for $30 (U.S.), plus shipping, how many of you would be able to commit to puchasing a pair (or more)?
My metal guy has drawn it up for me, and I would need to sell 30 sets, per batch. I would make a few dollars on it, but it would be mostly to help other users add the functionality for those who want to rack mount their units. If I don't sell at least 2/3rds of my production run, I'm losing money on it.

At the risk of being really old news, today I saw a case full of rack kits for the RMX or the Steel (same chassis) in stock at Six Star D.J. in Los Angeles, Ca. If you're in North American and need 'em, they're in!
