hello dear forum!
i have some problems with my hercules rmx2 since i upgraded to el capitan (more tech info in "my equipment"). the rmx is not recognized at all.
did anyone solve this problem?
cheers,
joakim
Please precise the following:
- You had the Rmx2 installed and working on this computer previously to the upgrade to El Capitain?
- Which version of OS X were you using previously to the upgrade ?
- Which driver version was installed for the Rmx2 before the upgrade ?
- Did try installing the drivers once upgraded ?
Correction: I have a hercules RMX not RMX2 as I previusly stated.

Yes
- Which version of OS X were you using previously to the upgrade ?
10.10 yosemite
- Which driver version was installed for the Rmx2 before the upgrade ?
4.58
- Did try installing the drivers once upgraded ?
Yes, I upgraded to 5.59 after upgrading to el capitan.
This fact changes a lot of things.
As recommanded from the driver download page, did you try using a powered USB hub between the Rmx and Macbook ?
This could help the computer correctly enumerate the controller properly.
If you also have the possibility, try using a shorter USB cable.
Yes, I use a powered USB hub. I have never updated the firmware on my rmx, can that help?
Thanks,
Joakim
Given the Rmx is not enumerated by the computer, it would be difficult to update the Firmware, even if it was necessary.
So using the powered hub, if you open System Profiler (under Applications > Utilities), and select USB, you mean that the Rmx is not at least seen by OS X, and this on both ports ?
Yeah, it was weird. Well anyways i bought an S2 now, really happy with the purchase 😀 Have you tried the S2, DJ phatso?
Thanks,
