hi there,
im new to this site, this is my first message. i have an old mk1 console that ive owned from new. ive recently been unable to install drivers, both the current v1.2.0.2090_multilang and hdj2005. ive followed previous threads and opened as administrator, but get a strange box with a slot in it and a red x in the top corner or an error.???
the install appears to complete when starting normally, but installs hercules midi and bulk. no asio etc.? im sure this is a fault with my pc and not the hercules itself. frustratingly, i can get excellent sounds through my delta audiophile soundcard. but no headphones at all. ive got virtual dj 3.4 installed. ive been exhaustedly trying to solve this for a while now. anyone any ideas?

hello travelfox,

please detail your configuration (pc brand & model, type (portable, desktop), windows version (as xp 32-bit service pack 3)), how you have installed the new drivers on this pc (were there older drivers of dj console mk1 on this pc or not).

hi, im using xp 32 bit sp3. i have an m audio delta audiophile soundcard istalled in a custom build desktop, but have been using my hercules as principle soundcard as it is the only way i can get audio through my phones. the drivers i have been unable to install have been downloaded from hercules site. the sound is almost unaudible, the same as when there are no drivers installed. which is what leads me to think that the install is not correct. i had the hercules working (more by accident than design) one week ago, and just left it connected. a few days later back to terrible sound. do you think it is a fault with the soundcard itself?
there were older drivers of dj conole mk 1 installed, but my c drive has been formatted since
device manager says everything is working correctly, but i still dont see asio drivers.
im so frustrated i have considered just upgrading to a rmx or steel, but would like to know how to avoid these issues in the future with new equipment.
your help is incredibly appreciated.

regarding the driver currently installed, you are refering to the latest one currently available on the support site (2010.hdjs.2) ?

you know that in order to use the asio driver in a software, it needs to be enabled in the dj control panel?

hi,
appreciate you taking the time with my problem. yes im familiar with the dj control asio enable switch. ive been using the console for around five years, and have tried just about every different configuration available.
2010.hdjs is the driver im having trouble with (forgive me im not an experienced poster). but ive tried others and with the same results. is there any advice on how to at least diagnose what the problem is?
i did have a usb midi keyboard installed a while back, and its install kind of messed with my console, it worked fine beforehand.
is there a way to determine if the soundcard in my console is faulty? or am i being a tool and installing incorrectly?
