hello gavin,

you should download a midi preset file (tsi file) for the rmx in traktor pro. to download traktor preset files in:
- go to hercules tech support site http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php
- click on updates and downloads
- in the download section, select "sound cards" as product genre > "dj controller" as product family > "dj console rmx" as product > "software" as link and download traktor pro profile (ftp://ftp.hercules.com/sound/tdjs/current/tp_dj_rmx.zip)
- unzip the tsi file on your hard disk, and load it in traktor pro.

thanx for getting back to me maxdjack and have gone through what you mentioned and thanx alot, i have noticed now after using the tsi file that most of my functions are working but my treble, mids and bass and my crossfader is not doing anything. also i dont understand why i have to use all 1 and 2 -  3 and 4 outputs...is it not possible to just use say 3 and 4 like in virtual dj pro..i have also noticed that my headphones are not working along with my cue buttons..

thanx for your great help please bare with me as i have not long gone over to digital mixing and very much enjoy the learning curve..

hope to hear from you soon..

you can map the output channels through setup preferences. also, the mixing mode, internal/external, will change routing, and, if i remember correctly, if the eq controls are active.

im going from memory though, and ill try to download the manual in a moment.

see page 16 of the current (off the site) manual.

step #5 of the software setup shows a picture of the output mapping. you can set your outputs there. also, make sure mixing mode is set to internal if you want to use just one output pair. as i said, i believe this will also enable eq.

by the way, the mixing mode setting is independent of the layout selection. that part is a little confusing at first, but youll find that its a good thing.

p.s. ill see if i can post my .tsi file (midi mapping only) once i get back  to the office. ive got cup set and a couple other tweaks.

make sure the monitor mapping is set correctly. i believe it should be 3 & 4 if i am remembering correctly.

also, if you have headphones that use an adpater, use one adapter and move it between outputs. i found that my headphones werent working once because an adpater was left in the front location (or maybe vice versa).

the .tsi ill post only tweaks a couple of midi functions. i didnt plan on sending a full .tsi with the other configuration settings.
