1. my configuration
laptop:asus k53s inyrl core i7, 8gb ram, windows 7 64x
dj software: virtual dj studio 7.0.1 le (b345)
hardware: hercules 4-mx
2. connection
console plugged via usb to my laptop.
computer speakers creative plugged rca female to two rca male y-adapter into output 1/2
headphones: regular headphones i use for my iphone with bigger jack plugged into console on the top panel. (next to cue/mix and vol knob)
3. my settings in virtual dj studio : input none, output : headphones (master:1/2 headphones:3/4) sound card: dj console 4 - mx
my settings at the dj series control panel : using wdm as audio mode. out channels are both "line in"
4. my problem
i have a problem with cue. i want to prelisten to track b while listening to track a. when i hit the cue button(yes, "cue select right deck is checke) i hear sound coming up from my headphones and speakers. the other weird (i believe) problem is that i can only prelisten to the next track if crossfader is not to all the way to the left. i tried to move knob from mix/cue hitting cue button, checking different inputs for headphones.
please, please someone help me!!
First of all you have an old version of the software, the new version is 7.0.5. I imagine that even the drivers are the ones from the CD too.
So, here you go:

Software:
To download the latest version of Virtual DJ you need to enter www.virtualdj.com and go to Download – Software update. There you need to register (if you haven’t done that already) by clicking Create a login and filling in the required information. After clicking Submit you will receive an email with an activation link. Click that link and you will be redirected to the Virtual DJ website. If you are not already connected go again to Download – Software Update and log with you user name and password. After doing that go to Modify my profile – Licenses and fill in your serial number. Then click Register. Now go to your Download Center tab. You will see there a photo of your console, your serial number and the latest version of Virtual DJ. Click on it and choose Save. When the download finishes just double click on the file and start the installation. Try to register it on www.virtualdj.com by going to the Download - Software upgrades section, creating an account and filling in the serial number on the Licenses tab of your account.
