i have been trying to configure my rmx to a pair of vinyl turntables and use mixvibes dvs ultimate software. i can use the rmx fine with the computer, and when i connect the decks using the time code it works fine.
the problems start if i try and play real vinyl when i have a problem routing through rmx source b. i select the external source - (the switch is set to phono) and the level is way too high with way too much bass. i have switched deck inputs and cartridges but the problem persists. i have also tried using line inputs and its the same. deck a works perfectly. the gain, bass, mid and treble are all set the same on both decks, and i have to back the bass and gain right off on deck b to get it to sound close to deck a without distorting.
when i was first setting up, i did unistall the drivers ready to re install, but did connect the rmx accidentally before doing the re install. does anyone know if this could be a corruption in the firmware, or is there a way to calibrate the source levels
1 thing i have noticed is that the source buttons on the rmx dont activate. i have to select the source by clicking on the bypass button in mixvibes.
i would have thought that the unit should be able to support line in, timecode and be used as a controller as well. any one got any ideas?
Hello,
To check if the issue lays in a software setting or another setting (Rmx or Windows), can you check if you get the same issue on source B in VirtualDJ 5 DJC Rmx ?
Thanks Maxdjack. I tried your suggestion and all working under VirtualDJ.
So must be an issue with the mixvibes interface/software.
