ive asked on the virtual dj forums wondering if anyone can help here .

ive got a hercules rmx , and have vdj . ive plugged my techniucs 1210 into the correct input on the rmx , and i have searto scratch live control vinyl - says second edition cv02 scv - 12002 . in vdj the timecoded vinyl doesnt work properly pull record back still goes forward etc im guessing all the problems are to do with not having a proper signal .

in vdj im not getting the circle image in the signal srength box i get a see pic:

i hope i have the correct timecode vinyl , says second edition on them . ive checked youtube on how to set a rmx up with vdj timecode etc , but i cant work out what im doing wrong . tried rmx in asio mode everything

hello,

the first step is to check you have the adequate volume on the phono input.
- what is the cartridge on your turntable?
the louder the cartridge output, the better, for example shure m44-7 or ortofon q-bert, with high output levels (not lower than 5mv), are perfect.
- you can check if you have a sufficient output level on your cartridge in playing an audio vinyl disc and in activating the source input button on your rmx.
if you cannot get a good audio level in setting the gain button on the rmx, then the problem is
- either the output level of the cartridge,
- or the ground cable of the turntable is not well connected to the rmx
- or the rmx input setting.
