hey there,

besides the optimisations that you guys have created a pdf guide for, related to usb improvements, what else can one do with the rmx and traktor pro to remove any glitches or sound skips one gets...

often these creep into my mixes and i need to optimise...the hercules control panel - changing buffer settings, not sure if these should be increased or decreased to improve this?

is there any documentation for improvements which i could check?

thanks for the help.

hello listenupza,

please confirm if the pdf guide you refer to is
http://ts.hercules.com/includes/view_faq.php?id=364&d=2008-09-26&folder=eng
to remove glitches, you should also increase the asio buffer size (before starting traktor pro).
you must also switch off the wifi communication, and, if you are in vista, disable vista search indexing.

to disable vista search indexing
1. click on start button, then select control panel -> system and maintenance -> administrative tools, and double click on services applet. alternatively, simply type “services” (without quotes) in start search box.
2. if user account control asks for permission, click continue.
3. locate an service named windows search. right click on windows search, and then select properties on contextual menu.
4. click on stop button to stop the indexing service immediately.
5. on the startup type dropdown box, select disabled.
6. click on ok button.
