thanks

Ok... so I got the sound to work on the headphones( dumb error), but I still would like to know if anyone know's the latest Driver's for the MK4. Also does anyone know why I only had my limited virtual dj for two days and yet it says that my 20-day pro version trial is over? One more question, why is it that when I look at my settings on the conrol panel that it goes to wdm automatically, even though I change it to Asio manually. Is this because my 20-day trial version is over?

Thank you

You will always find the latest driver package (currently 2011.HDJS.7) on the Hercules support site.

The switch ing between WDM and ASIO is done by Virtual DJ on launch and closing, and is perfectly normal. It always comes back to WDM to allow you to use your console soundcard with other applications that do not suport ASIO.

As for your Trial period lasting only 2 days, I can't say I have any idea why this would happen. Have you ever had any other version of VDJ installed on this computer before ?

I had homefree but then i re-did my computer. I tried the software again the next day and it worked perfectly. Now im having a different problem. For some reason (before it worked perfectly) my console is shutting off while it is plugged into my laptop even when my laptop is happening. Could this be because I am using wireless on my laptop or is there something wrong with my console now?

Thanks

Hello,

If you mean you have audio dropouts, then

1) Disable wifi on your PC : Windows wifi management is so CPU intensive it must not be used while mixing,  you must disable wifi on a Windows computer while mixing

2) Disable Windows setting which cuts the electric power on the USB port while you mix
with an administrator account,
- right click on My Computer
- Properties
- Device Manager
- Develop USB controller paragraphe
- right click in the first line USB Root Hub and go to properties > tab Power Management > disable the check "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save energy"
- repeat this last operation on all the USB ports on this computer.

If you don't have audio dropouts but another issue, please describe your issue as what you mean in "my console is shutting off" and "my laptop is happening" is possibly something not relation to audio dropouts.
