ive been happily using my hercules rmx with my laptop and traktor pro for over a year now, and i am ready to delve a little further into the djing world. i (somewhat) spontaneously ordered 2 cdj 400s off pioneers website (they had refurbs for $350, couldnt pass it up as ive been looking for a while) today.
i was planning on using them with the hercules as a mixer. my plan was to connect the cdjs to my laptop via usb and just use the hercules as a mixer. but after some thinking i was wondering if there is a way to use the rmx as a controller, since i believe i read either hercules or traktor will have downloads avialable to make timing cds.
has anyone use this setup or can i get some general advice? are both ways feasible, and if so is one better than the other?

im not familiar with cdjs but cant you plug them into the back of your rmx and use the source buttons . like i said im not familiar with it.
