my set up is two numark ttx-1 decks, a numark 5000fx and an ni audio 8. with the new version of vdj, in external mode, will i be able to use my ttx-1 to control decks 1 & 2, and use the dj consol 4 mx to control decks 3&4? i will be using the audio 8 as the sound card running into my mixer.
if i cant i will buy cd players and use time coded cds.
i dont see why it couldnt be done, although you might have more information on the subject by posting on the vdj forum, where other users are likely to have similar setups, and may already have tried these sort of configurations.
as for using the 4-mx, if you are not going to use the integrated soundcard and only control 2 decks, wouldnt you be better with a simple controler instead ?
i hope that my set up will include:
my decks would control channels 1 & 2
the 4-mx would control channels 3&4
and that i could use the 4-mx to control the looping, hot cues and effects for all four by toggling between them between a/b/c/d.
that is my goal.
plus i want this controller for times when i want to mix internally. i go through phases where i dont feel like fire up my whole system.
