when i open the browser in vdj and select the source of music on my p.c i am unable to access the individual tracks. i have an rmx is the sound card not recognising the file formats or something.

please precise what you call vdj free edition. if you mean virtualdj5 djc, it is not a free edition.
what do you call "select the source of music on my p.c"? if you push on dj console rmx "source" button, you have no longer access to the tacks in your computer since the source button activates the external sound source instead of the computer sound source.
