ive just downloaded vdj v7 and this happens, any ideas whats going on with the software?
im running my hercules rmx on the naff version they give you v5. want to upgrade. 
thanks folks for the advice, yeh your right. there was a conflict with the drivers, i uploaded v7 to my laptop and it did the same with that, old drivers corrupting a file on the v7. so i managed to sort it out, manually uninstalling old drivers, virtual dj v5 re-installing them again. it worked!!

As the message says, you seems to be using old drivers for the Rmx. Install the most recent ones and you should be fine:

Thanks for the link, I've download the new drivers, I still can't use v7 its still doing the same thing, opening multiple boxes.
I would suggest uninstalling Virtual DJ:
- From the first window of the installer, select [B]CUSTOM[/B]
- for every subsequent windows, choose [B]SELECT ALL[/B] for every following ones
This will insure that all fines related to the software are removed ( the folder [B]Virtual DJ[/B] should not be present in [B]Document[/B] once the uninstallation is complete).
Just to be sure, I would download VDJ again, and reinstall it. Who knows, maybe the file you had was corrupted in some ways...
Thanks for the info. I uninstalled v7, reinstalled it, still the same thing. Then rolled back my pc using system restore, ended up corrupting my skin file, so in the end I had to go round the houses and reinstall my old v5.2.2 again, I think I will leave it for now, its going over my head. Cheers for your help.
u could always uninstall vdj completely and install 7 because installing the same program twice weither its 5 or 7 will cause issuses. windows should of done that automatically but in your case it didnt. once you have completely uninstalled bpth vdj 7 and 5 make sure to restart your computer. then install vdj7, once thats done it should work with out any problems. although i found if you use the orginal skin the rmx skin everythin will work fine. also u can use that skin to set ur effects cues or whatever u want then switch to the other skins. if this doesnt work let me know and ill try n mess up my pc since i dont use it to get the same errors and will walk you through it

I suppose you got this error message because you have installed VirtualDJ 7 Home in the same folder as VirtualDJ 5.2.2 DJC, but I don't know either what you may do with VirtualDJ Home.
VirtualDJ Home cannot be controlled by any control surface (so you cannot control it on your Rmx), so VirtualDJ 5.2.2 DJC is more powerful.
