ive been using mixxx with my rmx for 9 months and i have decided that i am not happy with the sound quality. there are glitches, unexpected peaks, and general mushiness that i dont hear when i play the files with other software (e.g. vlc meda player).

im not sure if it has to do with the quality of my files, processor of the computers, os issues, latency, or mixxx itself. i have tried various files (e.g. 320 bitrate mp3s), computers (e.g. amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 5600+), oss (e.g. ubuntu studio, windows 7), and latency settings. id like to try another software application to see if that makes a difference.

The glitches may come from the software itself but it may also be caused by CPU limits.
Make sure you have followed the optimization guidelines listed here and especially the most important, switch off the wifi from your PC while mixing.

I tried 4 of the above softwares 
It's not on your list but I would say MixVibes Cross or MixVibes CrossDJ has the best sound
