hi,
ive just purchased a dj control mk2, and i cant get the drivers to install, no matter what i do.
ive tried the ones which came with it, and also the newest ones from the ts site (2009_hds_1)...
install seems to go ok, but in device manager is says that hercules dj console mk2 bulk failed to start... the actual message under details is "this device cannot start (code 10)".
i tried installing drivers in vista compatibility mode, and running as administrator but not difference.
i know the dj console works, as it works ok under osx.
anyone else got this working under win7 yet?
hello gargoyle,
hercules has not released dj console series drivers for windows 7 yet. they will be released, but they are not available yet since windows 7 is not released yet (what you can use is a release candidate, not a release version).
i am having a problem running vdj v.6 with my hercules rmx using windows 7 (full release). it appears to load ok, and even recognizes rmx in options menu, but just wont play. using vdj 5.2.1, it seemed to work fine except for pops which drove me nuts. when will hercules release a compatible version surely????
help!! have a major gig tonight
d-lite,
you cannot seriously expect to animate a major gig with a pc running in windows 7:
1) windows 7 is a release candidate, it is not a release version,
2) there are no windows 7 drivers for dj console series.
if you animate a major gig, you need a totally secure installation, as a good pc you have tested in djing with zero problem for many hours, with a windows xp and a virtualdj pro 5.2.1 and an rmx, but if i were you
- i would never never use windows 7 release candidate (even with windows 7 release version, i would not use it for public mix before 6 months)
- and i would not mix in public with virtualdj 6.
moreover there are no windows 7 drivers for the rmx, they wont be released in the coming weeks.
public mix requires to be more conservative: a technology geek can test any release candidate software at home, but public performance requires to use only software, drivers and hardware you have tested for long in advance.
