when i bought my little dink lenovo netbook for back-up i never dreamed it would smoke my 2.2 ghz, 2gb, lenovo t-61p. the netbook is so much quicker...it has gotten me into the upgrade mode. there are a lot of really nice lappys out there with windows 7, and if you shop around theres some awesome deals.
i use virtual dj 6.01 with the dac-3 & the hercules rmx. my question is this, shold i stay with there here-to-fore flawless performance of xp pro (sp-3) or take a leap of faith into the 21st century and go with windows 7, and why?
when you say your netbook is much quicker than your laptop, how exactly did your compare ?
as for windows 7, pre-releases seems to show that it is much more stable and faster than vista, but well have to wait untill it is actually released and out in the real world to come to a verdict.
if your current configuration is rock solid and serves you well, id say keep it as it is. its not like windows 7 will make your music sound better...
you can always install it on an external drive, get familliar with it, see what you like and eventually, make the jump!
i originally joined this forum to cry oh god i cant use my hercules mki with windows 7.
but after reading around, and considering that windows 7 goes live in 2 days, i suppose i can wait.
windows is such a collosal improvement on vista its unreal. the superbar is a really neat combo of dock and taskbar, and its just so much faster and a damn sight more stable to boot.
same here, i joined here to to get information why my win7 goes into bluescreen after pluging in usb(after "drivers"(vista) installation on both of my computers, but work with xp. so i guess we just have to wait for win7 drivers. i hope to not wait long, because win7 came into the stores days ago. if anyone has info that cant be published on this forum for some reasone, email me: [email protected]
edit: just installed new win7 retail ultimate x86 and thought to give it another shot. guess what, it works!!! everything works, mapping etc.
