windows 8.1 upgrade not working on rmx console

has anyone got a dj console rmx working on a windows 8.1 computer, (upgraded from windows 8 where it was all hunky dory).

i can see there are lots of issues with this upgrade for all sorts of consoles.  my rmx has 7 flashing lights to the right hand side,when i plug it in.  still works on my under (processing) powered windows 7 machine.  i have tried upgrading the firmware, i seem to have 2 firmware files the firmware 2 being within the original file, my systray says it is 2.hdjs.2013 but firmware 1.0.0.31 -has a different logo.  i have tried all the suggested microsoft solutions - not worked. anyone
