I purchased the impulse 500 and now it seems the crossfader is not working and not being recognized by djing program Serato

1) Regardez la position du commutateur de courbe du crossfader situé en haut du panneau supérieur de DJControl Inpulse 500, entre les 2 faders de volume :
gauche = courbe de mélange
centre = courbe de grattage
droite = désactivé.

2) If you do not write the version of Serato DJ Lite /Pro (for example Serato DJ Lite 3.1.1 in Windows), maybe calling Hercules technical support

serait plus facile pour vous que de poster sur un forum qui demande toujours de prendre le temps de décrire en détail votre configuration technique.

Crossfader not recognized in djuced? what can I do?

You should read the message to which you answer and ook at the position of the crossfader switch on DJControl Inpulse 500: 
- left = mix curve
- centre = scratch curve
- right = disabled
So move the crossfader switch on left or centre, as it is normal the crossfader is disabled if the switch in on right position.
