I've tested on multiple Macs and with various cables, but there's no sound coming from the left channel on either output. However, the headphone output works fine. Do you have any ideas on what could be causing this? Should I consider returning it to the store where I purchased it? Been running MONO DJ sets for the last weeks now.. help needed!

1) It is difficult to provide any technical guidance without getting first a technical description on
- DJ controller: is your DJControl Inpulse 500 a brand new unit or did this issue happen after some time on a DJControl Inpulse 500 unit which previously played sound on the master out left channel?
- context: have you no longer any sound at all on master out left channel or does left channel sound come back?
- computer configuration: testing on multiple macs is great, but if you do not describe the mac, nobody may duplicate your configuration: the computer configuration needed is the computer + the OS, as: MacBook Pro 14" 2021 with M1 Pro chipset, 16 GB RAM, macOS 14.7 (Sonoma)
- which HDJS Hercules DJ drivers package is installed in the computer, 6.51, 6.44 or an earlier package?
- description of the test you have processed: for example connecting Mackie CR5-X speakers with a dual 1/4" to dual 1/4' cable or with a dual RCA to dual RCA cable and playing in Djuced 6.1.1 or in Serato DJ Lite 3.2.1.
Posting a message referring to a technical problem is efficient only if you spend at least 10 minutes to describe technically:
- the technical problem,
- the computer DJ setup,
- the technical tests you have run, and what was the result of each test.
2) You can run the test of Hercules DJ control panel, if you have installed the control panel.
a) go in Applications > DJHERCULESMIX > DJSeries > DJCInpulse500 > ControlPanel
b) Run DJCInpulse500Control Panel
c) go at the About tab
d) click on the speaker icon on bottom left: it becomes green and plays a sound in each audio output: do you hear anything on left master output channel?
If you hear something in right channel, but not in left, you can switch off the speakers, and connect the left channel output in the right speaker instead, and check if you hear anything or nothing, and if you hear nothing, it makes sense to contact the retail store or Hercules support.
