I've this issue with my inpulse 500. When I drop down the volume for deck 2 to the bottom in the controller this doesn't go down from 80% in serato/djuced so deck 2 is never in mute.
I've reinstalled serato/djuced and drivers and still the same issue.
Is it a software or hardware problem?

What you describe may be a calibration issue, a process which can be fixed in 5 minutes in a re-calibration.
Considering your description (I am not sure of what you mean as going down from 80%, especially in Serato DJ which does not show the volume fader on screen), I am not 100% sure of what you mean, so instead of sending you a calibration guideline pdf manual, I suggest you contact Hercules tech support on their website

so that they make sure your issue is a need of recalibration, and that they follow you in this calibration process.
Even if the faders are not displayed in Serato, the volume on the speakers does not decrease. Can you send me the link to the calibration guide?
