My DJ Control Starlight just arrived from Amazon today. Just plugged it in to Serato DJ and noticed that the right platter is unresponsive to touch. The left side works fine. I've tried turning vinyl mode off and on. Unplugged and reset laptop and still no change

Welcome to the community area.
Can you test whether this non detection occurs
1) if the computer power is connected to the wall power outlet (to check if it is a grounding issue)
2) both in Djucedand Serato DJ Lite (to check if it is a software setting issue)
3) on all USB ports of your computer?
