hi guys I wonder if I could get some advice. I use an old version of Serato DJ Pro which I’ve never changed for my Pioneer DJSX. It works fine and I don’t intend to update the Serato DJ pro.
I’ve just purchased as a backup a Hercules starlight please can you tell me if this will work with an old version of Serato DJ Pro? As when I plug it in it does not recognise the laptop although it does power on.
Does this mean I have to use the Hercules with Serato DJ Light? If I do, will it recognise my folders and crates that the SeratoDJ Pro uses? As would hope that it does.

Serato DJ Pro starts supporting DJControl Starlight since Serato DJ Pro release 2.0.5, so
- if your version of Serato DJ Pro is older than 2.0.5, it cannot support DJControl Starlight,
- if your version of Serato DJ Pro is 2.0.5 or newer, it can support DJControl Starlight if you have activated a Serato DJ Pro upgrade on your computer. If your Serato DJ Pro build is unlocked by your Pioneer DDJ-SX, but with no Serato DJ Pro upgrade licence, it will not detect DJControl Starlight when no DDJ-SX is connected.
Serato DJ Lite recognizes the folder and crates of Serato DJ Pro.
