Hi,
I wanted to try DJUCED Stems with my Universal DJ controller, but there is no button for it because it is of course a very old controller model.
There was an old post where a user requested a custom slicer mode mapping file for this controller, and you proposed a mapping that would replace one of the modes CUE, FX, Sample, Loop.
If you created a mapping file for slicer support, would that be configurable in DJUCED to use the slicer mode as stem mode with this controller?
Provided that it is possible, I would really appreciate if you could make this mapping file, replacing the Sample mode with the Slicer.
Thanks
Hello.
As you said the Universal DJ is an old controller and it doesn't "respect" some MIDI logics that newer controllers have (Inpulse range).
For what I tested, It seems that you can replace the Sampler mode with the STEMS mode from DJUCED Settings.
I can see that there's a LED bug feedback with the Universal DJ with STEMS mode, I'll report to DJUCED Team, but you can still use Pad 1/4 to controls the stems.
Thanks I tried it, and the sampler mode on my controller works fine for stems.
The controller pads did not light up in stems mode, which seems like the LED bug you are talking about.
Will this fix be in a mapping file, or provided via the next DJUCED update?
As DJUCED PRO is evolving with the MIDI editing part, I guess it will probably be solved one day.
As I said, the Universal DJ is a 2012 controller, that was not 100% respecting some MIDI norms (they were not really established at that time, especially for the bluetooth part).
I'll report this as a bug but I can't promise anything.
Thanks for the feedbacks anyway !
Thank you for the honest answer.
I am quite happy that my controller still works with the recent version of DJUCED,
