Hello, I have a question about loading tracks from Tidal. It take something about 1 minute (in djay Pro it takes 1 sec). It's possible to speed up loading?
Hi,
Djuced 6 downloads the full track, then analyses it and loads the waveform with beat grid and tags.
1 second is too short to download & analyse a full track from Tidal, so the 1-sec Dj app either keeps on downloading & analysing in the background, or analyses a fraction of the track, or the track was loaded offline on the computer.
(I don't try djay Pro to avoid any subscription-only app - I stopped using djay Pro when subscriptions replaced 1-time licensing.)
hello. is there a way to improve those loading times?
Hello MNI1337,
The only way to improve Tidal loading time I have found up to now are:
- using an ethernet link (wire) rather that a Wifi (wireless) network,
- selecting in Tidal "normal" rather than "high" audio quality (faster loading).
I have seen some DJs on another DJ software who pre-loaded the Tidal tracks on virtual deck 3 or 4, so that, at the moment they loaded the same track on virtual decks 1 or 2, the loading was super fast. I did not test this way but I suppose it works on any DJ software.
