Hercules not outputting the mix to Audience or Creator track on my Windows PC since update

Hi there,

Since I have updated my Hercules Stream 200 XLR to the latest version, the Audience and Creator track do not output any sound anymore. I had it working before, so its seems like a software issue.

The weird part is that when I monitor the Creator and Audience track via my headphones that are connected with the 'Phones' aux on the Hercules, I do indeed hear everything. Also when I use the microphone on my Windows, this indeed works (I use an XLR microphone) so that means at leans something is going through.

I have tried resetting the Hercules to its factory settings, no luck. I have done all Windows update. I ran everything in Admin mode. There's nothing I can think of.

I remember back in 2024 when I first got the Hercules I had the same issue and contacted support for this. The problem resolved itself presumably after I had tried another USB port on my PC, yet this time this fix didn't work...

What to do next? Any suggestions?

Kind regards,

Nour

Hi !

When you say "Since I have updated my Hercules Stream 200 XLR to the latest version, the Audience and Creator track do not output any sound anymore. I had it working before, so its seems like a software issue", does that mean the vumeters remain empty ? Since you have a feedback through your headphones, the problem comes from your "Line out" output ?

Can you please assign the System channel to your device, then play an audio source through this channel ? Then open your Windows Mixer and check if your System volume is changing according to your Creator volume. Does that work ?

I have the same problem. I use the Herkules 200XLR on the PC. System sound on the XLR moves. But not in the Windows sound settings.
I use wireless headphones. Audience is passed through to my headphones using the Mixline software.
After the software update, the firmware was also renewed.
Since then I can no longer hear the 200 XLR. It would be nice if there was a hotfix or something similar.

I have the latest version and the update worked without any problems for me. Could it be that you had a Windows update yesterday to build win 11/27975.1? That it changed in win 11?

What worked for me:
- Deplug the Hercules
- Deinstall all Hercules Software
- go to Devide-Manager
- show hidden devices
- deinstall all hercules devices
- deinstall all disabled usb devices
- restart win
- install the hercules software
- plug in the Hercules

After HOURS of troubleshooting and testing, I have found the culprit: it's a Windows sound setting!

Please follow below steps to check whether or not this fixes it for you:

Within Windows, open Sound Settings and look for the list of all ingoing sources (which will include Audience and Creator etc).

Hit the small > arrow symbol on the right on Audience to start

In next screen that pops up, check that the ingoing volume is set to 100% (it was at 0% here, probably done by the Hercules software after the update).

Do the same for the Creator, where on my system the voluem was also set to 0%.

Problem was solved by doing the above.

I hope this will help other people as I have not seen any solution elsewhere. Let me know if this helped!

Hello.

We pushed firmware v2.39 and it should fix that issue.

Please let us know if it works as expected on your side now.

Thank you !

Everything worked fine for me before, and now with the latest version too, but what you could add is that it doesn't keep resetting itself during updates, so that you don't have to reassign it every time, both for firmware and software updates.
