Issue with Hercules 200 XRL Microphone Volume Knob Not Affecting Windows

I'm using a Hercules 200 XRL audio interface and the volume control to adjust the microphone doesn't seem to have any effect on Windows. The button itself physically works, but the volume in Windows remains unchanged no matter how I adjust it. Please help, otherwise I have to send the device back. Thanks

Hi,

When you adjust the microphone volume on the device, you adjust the Volume that is mixed with all the other sources and send to Creator Record or Audience Record ( depending on selected mode ).

This volume is not related to the volume the is send to Microphone Record that is another input.

However, if you mute your microphone in creator mode, it will mute the Microphone Record, this is a trick we have done if you want your micrphone be muted in chat application.

We do it that way because users want a monitor level different to the level that is use in their chat application.
