I will give the Stream Deck one more chance before returning it to Amazon. Unfortunately, I am experiencing several issues that are quite frustrating.
Both the software and the hardware are fully up to date. The device is connected directly to my PC and not through a hub. I am using a high performance PC worth over 4000 dollars for gaming, yet the device freezes from time to time. When this happens, the displays stop updating and the device becomes completely unresponsive.
Even when I shut down my PC, the display sometimes stays frozen and does not turn off. I then have to manually restart the device multiple times a day by unplugging the USB C cable directly from the unit.
I am not sure if this is related to switching out of the game to the desktop, for example to write messages on WhatsApp or Discord, and then returning to the game. However, it should not be acceptable for the device to freeze this frequently.
