Hi everyone,
I just got the Stream 100, and I’m running into a strange issue on Windows 11.
As soon as I plug in the Stream 100 and install the latest software + drivers, my keyboard (Asus Azoth) completely stops working.
What I’ve noticed so far:
-
If the Stream 100 is plugged in, my keyboard does not work
-
If I unplug the Stream 100, the keyboard works immediately again
-
If I unplug the keyboard and only use the Stream 100, the Stream 100 works
-
It feels like Windows only allows one HID device at a time (either keyboard or Stream 100)
What I’ve already tried:
-
Windows 11 (fully up to date)
-
Latest Stream 100 software & drivers
-
Reinstalling software (as admin and non-admin)
-
Rebooting multiple times
-
Different USB ports
-
Checking Device Manager (keyboard shows issues when Stream 100 is connected & Stream 100 shows issues when keyboard is connected)
Nothing has helped so far.
Has anyone experienced something similar or has an idea what could cause this?
Could this be a driver or HID conflict?
Thanks a lot in advance 🙏
Check your device manager; it may just be the power supply that is causing it to use energy-saving mode. Proceed as follows:
Open each USB port, find the USB controllers and USB devices. Open each port from top to bottom individually, go to Power Management, uncheck the box for power saving, press OK, and do this for each individual port of the USB devices.
But be aware that you will have to do this again after every Windows 11 update because Windows does not remember this setting. This should solve your problem. Happy holidays! Best regards, Baumi
Hey Baumi,
thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, that solution doesn’t work for me. I’ve already tried it, as I read about the same issue on Reddit. I just forgot to mention it in my first post.
At this point I’m pretty much out of ideas. What confuses me is that my Stream Deck works perfectly fine alongside my keyboard, but the Stream 100 doesn’t.
Thanks again for your help.
Idk why, but it works now...
Often, the type helps, but it may be that you forgot the USB root hub. That can happen when so many have to be set manually. I'm glad it's working now. What did you change?
