4 mx question

hey all,

found out that the warranty of my rmx stopped just a month ago so i couldnt return it for a free repair, or
id want to spend 38 euros research costs and about 60 for repairs and i really dont want that so i was pissed off.
in my pissed off-ness i went to a store and bought the 4 mx.
got home, put the driver/vdj cd in my macbook, installed everything as instructed, got even more pissed off cause the cd got stuck in the macbook again(stupid design flaw) and finally got it to work in vdj pro 7. (the firmware updater was stuck a few times so it took a while)
i noticed in contrary with my rmx that it gives alot of pops when touching knobs(like using the treble knob).
not to big of a problem but after using vdj for a few tracks the up button got stuck(software, not hardware) so it kept on going up in the list of songs all the time.
clicking the up button a few times and it stopt being stuck.
after this the jogwheels didnt respond normally too, i couldnt "search/scratch/pitch bend" songs with it anymore but it just kept on going up and down in the songs browser when i spinned the wheels.
after a restart of vdj they worked again but do i have to worry about these problems?
cause i dont want to start off with a new mixer that already has a hardware problem, so just want your opinion on this if i should bring it back and get another one?

greets!

i would start by testing the controller outside of vdj to exclude any potential hardware problems:

hmm well havent had any problems with it after that one time and it doesnt seem to have hardware problems at all.
must have been vdj that didnt "feel connected" to the 4mx..
ill report when it happens again! (and do the midi check before i post anything)

cheers
