greetings all,
i sincerely hope this is merely a case of me being a bit of a newbie or djuced being rather obscure?
first the basics:
controller: hercules dj air+ s series (the air one with the pads in the bottom corners)
software: djuced 40 3.x (current as of september 2016 at least)
laptop: sony vaio, 8 gb ram etc. and yes i am an administrative user (and did try run djuced as admin too)
now for the issue:
i setup a loop (4 beats) using the 2nd bank and the 1 + 2 keys to set it up.
djuced sees it as a 4 beat loop (the 4 lights up and i can halve and extend it correctly).
hitting the magic button on the controller, it lights up and there is a slight drop in the bass output (meaning it is doing "something").
i then hit the samples button (switching the pads from cue points to samples)
in theory - at this point, my 4 pads should now be assigned slices of my loop.
however, hitting them still plays the pre-loaded sample packs from djuced ? 
i hope i am doing something stupid (like perhaps i am suppose to unload the sample packs somehow?). ive watched the official youtube tutorial vid but i dont trust it - as the video is oddly edited and when the dj pushes his magic button it doesnt even light up ?
any ideas? (ps. i did scroll back to the mid 2013s on this forum to see if i could find any similar type issues - but no luck.)
