i have a mp3 e2 console, and every time i shut down my computer i always have to uninstall and reinstall drivers on the next startup, because when virtual dj (the version that came with it) opens it says it cant find a controller. my computer also has the found new hardware wizard pop up too. once i reinstall the drivers it works until i shut it off. the same thing happens again. this only happens on my new desktop computer, my old desktop and laptop i have work fine.
This is a really strange behavior which shouldn't occur unless you connect the controller to a new USB port eveytime.
First off, are you using the latest drivers (2011.HDJS.7) and latest update for VDJ (v1.05) ?
Also, are you installing the drivers as an Administrator, as described in the following procedure ?

Once done, verify that the Mp3 e2 is correctly installed:
what it was was i connected it to a different port, so i plugged it into the right one and it worked!
