deejay trim 4et6 is not being recognized by any computer!

hi, recently got a hercules deejay trim 4&6 and when first tried to connect it and install it, after dowloading the last driver installer and follwing all instructions, it didnt work in my macbook pro with osx montain lion 10.8.
i tried several times with no success.
then tried with a windows 7 pc, and had the same problem.

i searched on forums and found the trick of holding the mic button while turning it on, and notting happened.

the interface lights on, and the audio ins seems to have no problem.

i need some help please.
