hi,

is there any way to export my cue points from djuced and import them into serato?  i have a number of songs that ive set hot cues on in djuced that i would like to use in serato, but when i load them in serato the hot cues arent there.  as much as i love djuced, i want to start to stream and i find its too resource intensive and laggy when i run obs.  serato doesnt seem to cause the same issues

Hello,

Welcome on the forum.

1) If you find you have more CPU time on Serato than on Djuced, then in Djuced > Settings > Audio
- make sure your audio interface in Djuced is ""DJControl Inpulse 500 ASIO(ASIO)": if you use the sound device "Speakers (Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500) (WASAPI)", it takes more CPU than the ASIO sound device "DJControl Inpulse 500 ASIO(ASIO)".
- do not enable the option "Send master to computer speakers" as it is CPU hungry.

Whatever the computer, it is generally safer to broadcast on another computer that the computer on which you mix.

2) Victomusic has answered to your questions on  https://www.reddit.com/r/DJUCED/comments/qffxjh/export_hot_cues/

3) I heard of a developper working on a process to import / export hot cues to or from Djuced, so if I find his app is released, I come back to this discussion later this week.

Thanks for the response!

Under my Audio settings, I do not see anything labelled "Audio Interface".  I do see Audio Device, and that is set to DJControl Inpulse 500.  I do not see any options for ASIO or WASAPI.

I have Send master to computer speakers set to "Blackhole 2ch" as that was recommended for streaming to OBS, straight from Hercules ( https://www.djuced.com/how-to-live-stream-your-djuced-dj-sets/).  While I understand your point about having a second computer (which hopefully will come around Christmas), Hercules does state on that page "You don’t need to buy an external audio interface or another computer to stream your sets."

Hello,

In macOS, then there is no ASIO or WASAPI which are only in Windows (that is why I ask to complete the computer configuration in the user profile before a technical question, most tech issues are computer related: knowing the computer is needed). Before technical questions, one should complete the technical profile on

https://www.herculesdjmixroom.com/en-us/account/informations/  in "Describe your equipment", describe your computer
  • brand and model
  • CPU
  • RAM
  • Type of USB port (USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1...)
  • Environment (Eg. Window 10 64-bit, macOS 11.6)
  • version of DJ software (Eg. Djuced 5.3.1)
  • version of DJ driver (Eg. 2021_HDJS_1 or HDJC Series 6.43s)
Yes, you do not need an external computer to broadcast, but as broadcast is CPU intensive, broadcasting on the same computer causes more latency than broadcasting on an external computer.
