help with rmx and type c usb

i have a new mac (2016) with el capitan 10.11.4,traktor scratch pro and latest rmx drivers installed
the problem is i bought a type c usb hub (hootoo shuttle 3.1 type-c with power charging and 3 usb 3.0 ports)
everything is working but when i connect my external hardrive and the rmx the hard drive gets disconnected so i can only have one connected which sucks cause the hub cost a good penny
im guessing its too much power for hub since its not powered and can only run one usb on it?
any one know of a working hub that im gonna be able to connect my rmx and hardrive that provides a power charge for the computer thank you
