hello,
ive recently upgrade from mp3 le to dj control air, but seems like there is a problem with my sound card.
from the beginning, after installing the software from the cd, provided with the controller, it was telling me that there is something wrong with the soundcard and it is not installed correctly.
i have tryed to use air with djuced, but it is not working fine, i can not use speakers.
i usually prefer virtual dj, so i connected the air and the vdj, but it is the same: the asio driver says: incorrect, or device not plugged and so on and it is not working πŸ™ the air is only running as if i choose the option for sound from the laptop and no headphones. i know it sounds little bit messed up how i explain it, but hope you understand my problem. so - no matter djuced or vdj - soundcard not working. how to solve? thank you!

Please try using the latest drivers from the support site instead the CD:

http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=17&fid=62&pid=287&cid=1

Be sure to install strictly following these instructions:

http://ts.hercules.com/download/sound/txt/DJ_Series_INSTALLATION_PC_EN.pdf

Once done, verify that all components are installed correctly as described in this document:

http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00433.pdf

If this is the case, then at least you'll know the problem is not related to the hardware.

Thanks! It is now working, but it is coming next question and most lame (I am sorry for it):
until now I have never used soundcard before, it means - mixing on my MP3 LE without pre-listening and without headphones.
So I am not familiR EVEN WITH VERY BASIC STUFF (as I am absolute beginner too). My question is:
I was thinking that when I pre-listen the track I can actually hear it together with the one that's playing, so I can match them better, but I can only hear Deck one on the main mix and on the headphones Deck 2. Can I make it that on the headphones I heap both tracks playing, so I can mix them better?
Excuse me again for the lame question and don't laugh about it, I just need to start from somewhere like everyone else. πŸ™‚
Thank you very much in advance!

If you look at the DJUCED interface, you'll notice some controls for the headphone output in the center mixer section:

- When the CUE/MIX knob is in the LEFT position, you will hear the deck for which the CUE SELECT has been activated

- When the CUE/MIX knob is in the Right position, you will hear what comes out of Output 1-2, according to the crossfader position.

- If you want to hear a bit of both (when preparing a track), simply put down the middle position.
