hi all
i was just installing the drivers for my hercules dj console rmx, when someting went wrong. the buttons now keeps blinking and i can not finish the installation.
i believe it is a firm-problem. perhaps the firmware was updated wrongly.
now, when i try to reinstall the drivers, the installation freezes right after asking me to connect the console.
is it firmware-trouble? how do i reinstall the firmware? i see from other topics that people are asking for a manual regarding flashing the firmware manually - can anyone send me this?

It sounds like your firmware isn't installed problem
Get in contact with the Hercules Support, explain what is happening.
They will send you a pdf manual on how to re-set your firmware. I had to do it to mine. My first firmware took 4 attemps before it accepted it.

unfortunately the problem is unsolved ...
the firmware flash worked but i still have 0 in the controller firmware field and only the MIC ON/OFF lights when i connect the usb cable
i have sound but the controller doesn't work
the rmx worked great since i bought it 2 days ago and installed it on my windows vista 64 system, but when i installed it on my xp pro partition (optimized for djing), the install seemed to be ok but i lost the controller function and the leds on startup just after (only mic on/off)
i have sent and email to the hercule's support but i had no answer at this hour ...
I seem to be having the same problem with my unit. Everything worked fine for a few months and then bam, flashing lights, tried the reinstall and it gets stuck just after reconnecting my RMX. Now I can't uninstall the half installed drivers or fully reinstall them.

Can someone send me the info on how to reset the RMX? It was working fine, tried to install it in a new computer - downloaded the patch from Herc website, now nothing but flashing lights, and none of my computers will recognize it!

I don't think an help will solve your problem, since obviously you didn't read this forum page, otherwise you would not have posted your email address in a public page.

i also have the same problem, but have received the pdf regarding flashing my firmware.
Only problem is, when i get the firmware updater up, it wont detect my device!
It detects it on my computer but not on the updater itself.
I followed all the instructions regarding holding the mic on/off button, does anyone have any solutions?

Unbelievable. My rmx has been sent to the Netherlands (I live in Belgium), afterwards to the European headquarter in Germany . There, they said that my rmx was "irrevocable damaged".
Once home again, I thought that it could be the fireware. It couldn't be possible that such a thing, that costs over 300 EUR, broked up. So I looked over the internet, and here I found the solution. After a few attemps and rebooting my notebook, it worked.

If you want to receive a pdf file from a member of the forum, you should:
1) send an invitation to the member from whom you expect the pdf file, so that you can exchange messages
- go on http://www.herculesdjmixroom.com/en-us/members/ select the member you want to invite and click on "add to my friends"
2) then, once the invited member has accepted your invitation, you should send a message precising
- your email address,
- that you want to flash the firmware of your console,
- precise which DJ Console you have
- precise your operating system (the flashing process is not the same in all operating systems).

Having problem with Hercules RMX as well, I only speak/read english so I am having avery hard time navigating this forum site.
Can someone PLEASE send me the file to reset firmware?!? That seems to be the remedy for flashing lights. I have been able to install drivers "successfully" but the console still just flashes when connected.

can someone please send me the information on how to reset the hercules rmx? i got it the other day and tried to down load the patch to fix the sound card error on the mac..and since then its been blinking no stop and is no longer even recognized when its connected to the usb it just blinks..can someone send me the pdf thing i keep reading about to reset the device to the settings it came woth out the box....my email is SUPPRESSED id gladly appreciate the help form anyone i have a gig fiday i need the help as soon as possible

if you don't get them, then your anti-spam filter prevents you from getting them. I think it is an unecessary risk to show your email address in the public pages of the forum instead of using the standard and normal process of sending private messages.

Why do you try to flash a DJ Control MP3? The firmware in DJ Control MP3 is not updateable, so of course you cannot rewrite the firmware of a DJ Control MP3, why do you want to do this operation which is possible only on DJ Console Rmx?

If you want a pdf guideline, you should invite one of the persons sendings the pdf guidelines (as Jimmy B, Cioce or me) via the private message system, and post in a private message the email address, asdescribed in the system administrator messages. Your asking the pdf guideline won't help as long as we don't know your email address.

Using VDJ, on Windows 7(x64) on my macbook pro and got the "flashing lights" scenario after updating to most recent drivers. I also got VDJ loaded on my OSX partition and that seems to be working ok.

Thanks for your post. I am having the same problem with my RMX. I downloaded the pdf and followed the instructions to the tee (several times). I go right up to the end where it says that the firmware has been updated and you can now disconnect and reconnect the console.
When I do that, the LEDs on the RMX still keep flashing and the firmware is not updated. In the Control Panel it reads N/A in the firmware section.

1 - Install Hercules last driver package

2 - if installing the last drivers doesn't solve your problem, call Hercules technical support (number on http://ts.hercules.com/eng/index.php?pg=contact ) so that you test the firmware reflashing process with them on the phone and at the end of the flashing process, they can tell you if you did anything wrong or tell you the controller is faulty.

I m new here... I have a Hercules rmx and I ve got the same problem with LEDs blinking so i tried using the manual to update the firmware. I run the whole procedure but in the end of the update i got an error message saying: Error updating audio part: 0x00400009 ( Bulk transfer to the device failed during TUSBupdate).
Can anybody help me pls, i m really worries as noone seems to face the same prob.

(for example : Dell Dimension 5150 - Core Duo 3 GHz - 2 GB RAM - Windows XP SP3 - Radeon X300 SE graphic card with 128 MB RAM - Hercules DJ Console Rmx with 2010_HDJS_2 drivers - VirtualDJ Pro 6.1 set with DJ Console Rmx in ASIO 16-bit 44.1KHz with output 1-2 set as master and output 3-4 set as preview - DJ Console Rmx control panel set on 6ms buffer size)

Which version of DJ Console drivers is installed on your Windows XP computer?
The firmware update software is completely changed in the last driver versions compared to older drivers, so one cannot write for you a procedure on how to update your firmware in an Rmx if you cannot provide an answer to this question.

2) I am not convinced you have any issue of firmware, I rather believe your problem lays in the USB port (in your computer or in the USB cable), or in the USB bus power: the USB power settings are listed here.

I made everything on my laptop from ts.herculessupport page. Also when i connect my Hercules RMX on PC it's the same issue. The LED's are going crazy and in program is everything wrong. After few reconnecting of USB cable it works normally. I tried to chanege USB cable but it's same.
