hercules rmx2 not working

hi everybody,
i just bought the rmx 2 off amazon a week ago, and have been using it for the last three days (with vdj), everything was working fine until this morning. i plugged it in to the power source and to my laptop as usual, but when i went to switch the power button to on, nothing happened, no lights, its not recognized by the laptop either.
ive tried it several times now with different power outlets, but nothing works.
im hoping someone here may have encountered this issue and knows a possible solution.
