i use the quarter inch connectors going to my home stereo, and this problem is audible in the headphones as well.

when playing with the knobs while djing i can hear noise while playing with the knobs.

only then do i hear the noise....

any ideas?

kind of like a deep fuzzy sound and it happens mainly when i am djing.

my computer is  good  so i dont think...it has anything to do with the computer. i know every process running and all that crap, tuned xp to not be as big of a hog, etc.

maybe it is grounding issue?

maybe it is grounding issue?

possible, or you might have your sound performance set to high for your laptop/pc.

what software do you use virtualdj?

if you use virtualdj pro, in the performance tab, try this.

move the preset slider all the way to the left (fastest) and set the latency to auto (from the dropdown)

ive had these problems when i use my rmx at a friends home. at my own home everything is going perfect, but at his a deep fuzzing sound is coming from the speakers. probably grounding issues? anyone knows how to solve these grounding issues? it replacing the cable with a better one enough?

hello factory81,

the issue you mention has occured in wdm with the previous virtualdj pro 5 releases:
- if you set virtualdj in asio (set eq on the external inputs) in the sound, you should no longer hear the issue
- if you update virtualdj to virtualdj release 5.2.1, you should no longer hear this issue either.

hello hydra,

first, you should check the audio cables between the dj console rmx and the amplifier of the speakers, to make sure the ground is connected on the audio cable.

if you have a grounding issue, it means the ground of the amplifier is not the same as the ground of the computer, so one of the ground is not properly connected.
- a short term solution consists in connecting the computer to the same power plug as the speakers, so they are on the same ground.
- another short term solution consists in plugging the computer on a 2-pole power plug (without ground).
- a long term solution is to check the ground is properly connected on the ground pin in the power plugs, to identify which power plug (the plug powering the speakers or the plug powering the computer) is not connected to the ground.

how do i edit my user info? i have virtual dj pro, rmx.

asus motherboard
e6600 cpu
2 x 2gb ddr2 800
high end power supply and using internal hard drives.

i am using asio....and i have the latency set to auto. it is also in safe mode, and overclock (checked both boxes). preset is untouched with the slider bar about 30% from the left (set more towards fastest).

i am using 5.2...i will go to atomix website and download the 5.2.1 update as well.

this problem occurs with virtual dj running and nothing playing. i have the hercules driver set at like 3/4th the way up. the gain when mixing is always never too high. the audio system is not reaching its limits by any means.

your first question mate, about your user info, first of all log in, then go to the my space tab>my profile.

once there you can put all you details in there.

your second question, try this, i did this for the virtualdj wiki.

http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/hercules%20rmx%20setup.html

these are the settings i use, they might not be perfect, but i havent had any problems with my rmx running on them.

btw, the safe mode and overclock option are for older machine which have the old p4 processers. if you have a duo core, you will probabaly not need them options checked.
