hi everyone,
so i bought a dj air and everything runs fine on virtual dj and djuiced;
now im trying to make it work on traktor pro 2 but the original mapping for air from herculess site dont work well.
i had issues like:
play button stuck in toggle, i need to keep it pressed to play the track (i changed mode in direct, now it launches the track but another press wont stop the track, so its half useful)
no chance to use the crossfader, sync buttons, load, etc... basically i have to re-do everything on the mapping to get it work with the result i am getting even into a worse situation because it seems to receive badly every midi cc..
im also stuck randomly with the air infrared utility that seems to send a signal that rewinds both decks a the same time while playing and when this happens theres no way it will stop cause air control gets stuck like someone is using it..

First of all, are you using at least version 2.12 of Traktor?
The mapping was created with this version, and may not work correctly with earlier versions (it is however compatible with v2.5 and v2.6).
If you are using a recent vesion of Traktor, try reloading the mapping. We've seen occasions where that was necessary.
As for the infrared sensor, it may indeed interfere when mapping, so unless you need it, I would recommend turning it Off from the DJ Control panel MAIN tab:

thanx for replying me quickly, I'm using Traktor 2.6.0, on Macbook pro SnowLeopard, original mapping loaded like 20 times by now, but every time I had basically to edit fields like MODE etc because nothing work as it has to.
I searched for this in the entire Forum but I see most of users had "local" issues like jogs, etc.. I have a really weird configuration as I load the file.
Have you other clues?
Let's look at this logically then:
1) If it works normally with VDJ and DJUCED, then we can pretty much conclude that it is not a heardware problem with the controller itself.

- Can you also confirm the MIDI channel for the DJ AIR is 1
2) For Traktor, in Controller Manager, for the Device menu, do you have anything other devices beside the default keyboard and the DJ AIR ?
