yeah so i bought the mk2 console with the traktor 3 software.
i installed traktor and then went to install the console disk and its telling me "this software cannot be installed on this computer."
i know my computer is capable of it i have a mac notebook and i have enough free space on my drives so i dont get why it wont install.
i also tried downloading the software assuming the disk was dud but the same message comes up so what do i do?

i am not a mac specialist (mixing with a 4 years old xp pc laptop), but here are few things to be checked
- type of your platform: ppc or intel vs the type of your driver binary (ppc compatible, intel compatible, universal binary compatible with both)
- o/s release: driver architecture & api may change frome one mac os release to another
indeed, you need the correct version of mac os x in order to install the drivers, in this case either 10.4.x (tiger) or 10.5.x (leopard).
if your are not sure what version you have go to apple menu > about this mac
ok well im running leopard and im not 100% sure what version of software i have.

to install the console itself, i would suggest downloading the latest driver, version 5.18, from the support site:

to be sure your console is installed correctly, look at this document:

if everything checks out ok, then move on to traktor le.
considering that your dj console was installed correctly, you should be able to configure traktor as indicated in this document:
http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00327.pdf
also, once you register traktor le, there will surely be an update available , so be sure to install that too.
