hi all

new round here as i have just upgraded from a reloop beatmix to a rmx 2.

have a few questiuons:

1 - i cannot get the filter to work on the hardware - it works vaugely on the software but not very easily - i am using vdj le.

2 - is there anyway to re-assign the effetcs to the pads - i get the first 4 effects on pads 1-4 and only echo on pad 1 when i use the shift function when in effects.

3 - also is there anyway to make the pitch range on each deck independent - if i need to adjust pitch range up or down when cueing up a much faster or slower track i dont want the pitch range to be adjusted on the deck that is already playing as it then either speeds up or slows down the live track!

i think that is all for the moment, must say its a nice little bit of kit but the way some of the effects work is a bit weird for my liking!

thanks in advance for any help on this.

Hello,

I am sorry, as the answers to your questions is not positive.
- In questions 1 & 2, you ask for features which are in VirtualDJ Pro but not in VirtualDJ 7 LE.
- In question 3, you raise an issue which has appeared in VirtualDJ 7, and was not in the earlier VirtualDJ 6.

1) Quote of itch - I cannot get the filter to work on the hardware - it works vaugely on the software but not very easily - I am using VDJ LE.

=> The filter control is indeed not mapped in VDJ LE for Rmx2. You can only control it in software only as changing the commands associated to Rmx2 controls requires VDJ Pro.

2) Quote of itch - Is there anyway to re-assign the effetcs to the pads - I get the first 4 effects on pads 1-4 and only echo on pad 1 when I use the shift function when in effects.

=> You cannot reassign effects in VDJ LE as re-assigning requires VDJ Pro.

There is no way to change the pitch range on each deck separately.
But you have indeed noticed an issue which did not exist in VirtualDJ 6 (even if the pitch range was the same on both decks) as VirtualDJ 6  made it possible to
- set a large pitch range,
- move the pitch fader at the maximum of this range to reach your target BPM,
- then reduce the pitch range : the BPM of the track was not actaulised to match this lower range as long as you did not move the pitch fader.
So Hercules will probably report to VirtualDJ the issue you have noticed to ask if there is a work-around process in VirtualDJ 7 LE.
