rmx2 controls not working with virtual dj 7

hi i have upgraded from the hercules rmx to the rmx2. the rmx was working fine with the virtual dj7 software. i am running mac os 10.7. i upgraded to the rmx2 and it is not working with the controls at all. it shows as a sound card and allows me to select it as 4-out. i select my output as headphones--master ch1&2/headphones ch 3&4 which is the way i had it for the rmx and the sound card is selected as 4-out.
 but when i play a track  it is not being controlled by my mixer at all. none of the knobs work at all.
i am using the balanced xlr connections for my mains(unpowered) connected to an amp.
i have the 2 rca outputs 1-2 connected to a powered sub.
can someone please assist me with this.
i have a party to dj next week .
