scratching with mk4 and traktor?

hello everyone.

i use a mk4 with traktor 2.5.

while a track is playing, and i want to scratch, i must:
- turn the scratch mode on
- hold the cue button and move the jog wheels at the same time.

is there a way to scratch by just moving the jog wheels, while the scratch mode is on,
without having to hold the cue button?

i thought about midi mapping, so that moving the jog wheels would do 2 functions at once:
- what jog wheels normally do
- emulate the pressing of the cue button

in that way i would scratch naturally while the track is playing, without hurting my thumb.
but i dont know how to do it.

thanks in advance for considering the problem.

Unfortunately, this is the only way scratching can be achieved in Traktor now.

Changes were introduced with version 2.12 regarding the behavior of jog wheel so that it simulates thoses of CDJs (and that of most recent MIDI DJ controllers). With previous version there was a way around which allowed the jog wheel to be used as you described, but this is no longer possible.

In orther to switch from jog mode to scratch mode, Traktor requires a "stop", which is usually sent by a button activated when pressing the jogwheel. Since the MK4 jogs do not included a switch, the CUE button is used instead.

i'll try to use extra software for midi mapping and see what I can do.
