i am trying to run traktor pro v1.2.4 on the hercules dj console mk1 (non mac version)but i cant get anything to go apart from the mouse lever. the console works ok on virtule dj but i prefer traktor. anyone help
In order to use it as a controller with Traktor, you will first need to make changes in the DJ control Panel:
- Check Enable ASIO mode
- change the menu MIDI Input to DJ Console Buttons

You installed the driver for the DJ Console ? May I suggest using the latest ones (2010.HDJS.2)

The DJ Control Panel ( the green alien head) should appear near the clock, in the task bar. Thi is where you'll make the changes shown in the document.
hi jus bought the mk4 and i have v dj pro 6.1 trial i like it cuz i can config. but i can't get my mk4 to work or recognise it since its said to be able to find it automatically. idk if i have done something wrong . should i jus go for traktor or 5.1 . on 5.1 it works with the hurcules control mapper but its way off(mapping)..HELP PLEASE
If the MK4 is installed correctly using the latest drivers, VDJ 6.1 should indeed detect it automatically as a controller (in the MAPPER tab of the configuration menu), but you still have to configure it as a soundcard as follow:
- Input : None
- Output(s): Headphone > Master Chan1/2 / headphone Chan3/4
-Soundcard: DJ Console Mk4
