have just bought the dj universal controller, have installed everything and everything is connected fine but the crossfader and volume toggles on the device and computer dont do anything?
Hello,
1) If you mean you do not hear anything in the audio output built in your computer, it is normal, you should connect your speakers to Universal DJ Mix Output (le RCA connectors labelled Mix Out).
If you hear the music on Universal DJ audio ouputs but but hear no changes when you move the crossfader, make sure you:
- listen to the music played on the speaker output (Mix Out)
- because if you listen to the music played in your headphones, it is normal as headphones output plays the preview, not the mix, by default.
To play the mix in the headphones instead of the preview, you can open Universal DJ control panel, move to the Advanced tab, and, instead of the playing channels 3-4 in Headphones, select channel 1-2.
2) As long as you do not describe
- your software,
- the audio settings in the software,
- the audio output you refer to,
it is unlikely someone can guess what happens on your computer.
You should complete your profile in clicking on "MY SPACE"> "MY PROFILE" : you should fill the 3 fields to list your equipment:
- In "HERCULES EQUIPMENT IN USE", Universal DJ,
- In "SOFTWARE IN USE", the DJ software you use, possibly Djuced,
- In "HERCULES EQUIPMENT IN USE": computer brand and model, CPU, quantity of RAM, version of Windows or Mac OS, version of DJConsole Series driver package, version of DJ software.
