w10 doesnt recognize hercules rmx

so, i have an hercules rmx, and i have been using it in my older pc, with w7, and it works like a charm. 
recently i bought a new computer, with w10 and when i plug it in, it recognizes that something has been pluged in, but doesnt even know what it is. in device manager, it shows up as " unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed)". i went to my older pc, and it still works, so no hardware problem. i tried to mannualy update the firmware, and in the updater, instead of 31 it shows up 32. could that be the problem? also, in the firmware folder, instead of "rmx_tusb.dja" it show up "rmx_tusb_f.dja".
