Thanks for reading. Headphones worked fine but now I can not listen to the cue or deck 2. I have updates drivers, tried another laptop and the headphone work well left and right on an amplifier. The headphones work with the master, but when turning the know to cue I can't hear the second deck. User error? Not when all headphones buttons are lit or just the master and one deck or no deck. I checked the mapping and it seems correct and I have not changed anything. Running windows 11. Appreciate your help!

Could you tell us which version of Windows 11 you are using, 25h2 or 26h1? Have you downloaded the latest drivers from the motherboard manufacturer? I think this would be very important information for DJS and support, so please submit it.

Hi Baumi,

Did you try disconnecting/reconnecting the USB cable of your DJControl Inpulse 500?

In Windows, when the computer goes in sleep mode, on some computer when waking up the computer the USB audio is not properly set and the solution is to disconnect/reconnect the USB audio device.

You know what I would prefer? If they brought back the sound system from Windows 7 to Windows 11, where it never changed. The new sound system is crap, in my opinion. Having to constantly adjust the settings is just annoying.

Hello Baumi,

If you do not want to dig in Windows settings to set power savings options after each Windows update, you can connect a USB hub which has a power adapter between your computer and your USB devices, and everything will work, as Windows USB power suspend setting will not cut power on the USB audio device, and then the USB device will be properly enumerated when the computer wakes up.

I do not fully agree with you on Windows 11 as:

- in general, Windows 11 sounds better & cleaner than Windows 7 IMO,

- USB issues after computers wake up have multiple causes, it is not Windows 11's fault: 1) organisations defining standards as FCC and CE groups, have requested improvements in computers energy efficiency -> 2) Windows and macOS have then integrated power saving modes to suspend USB bus power during computer sleep -> 3) then, depending on the speed/firmware/settings of each USB host, the already connected USB devices are more or less properly enumerated when the computer wakes up, and in USB audio, it may result in volume, audio quality/sample rate issues... (such issues occur more in Windows 11 than in macOS because Apple is both macOS developper and mac computers manufacturer, so Apple can know & test all mac computers to get the best match between macOS settings and mac computers installed basis, while Microsoft do not manufacture most Windows computers, so Windows cannot test all Windows computers when making a Windows setting).

I suppose most current issues of USB bus power will be solved within 5 years, but new issues will then have appeared related to new standards, new habits, new connectors (USB-C).

Yes, Admin, I know that you can leave the computer on standby, but shutting down the original is still better for all devices. Hard drives that are shut down simply last longer; this has already been proven, which is why I always shut it down like I used to.
