In serato or djuced, it acts as if the paddle is on all the time. Even if it's in the middle.
I literally just opened the box and installed the drivers

Can someone summarize what the response to this issue was? I have created a support ticket for the same issue with my new T7 and have not heard back yet but noticed whenever this comes up no one posts a follow up. Was it a firmware update needed or did the hardware have to be shipped back? I am in the return window since it is brand new andwould rather not have to deal with shipping and wait times if it is a sporadic hardware problem.
Hi,
Can you test the paddle outside of Serato, like for example with https://www.midimonitor.com/ ?
Normally, you should get:
- Up or Down, Note On #85 - Velocity 0 - Channel 3
- When in the middle position, Note On #85 - Velocity 127 - Channel 3
To compare with the left paddle, the data should be the same but on Channel 2.
If this is the case, then it would mean the paddle is working normally.
If however the proper data is not sent, then it it could indicate a hardware problem.
The Phat One
Support got back to me and asked me to test with miditest.
The right paddle does not send any signal, and curiously the right FX bank each button sends signal on 2 channels, whereas the left bank buttons only send a signal on one channel.
Based on all the data and videos I provided they determined I should send it in to Florida for repair.
However since I have only had the unit a few days and was in the store return window, I elected to return it to the store as defective and they will be sending me a replacement unit.
