When I connect the controller to my Mac, it powers up as intended. However, it does not seem to connect to my Serato DJ Pro. Any advice?

Hello,
DJControl Starlight is only a Serato DJ Lite controller, so to work on Serato DJ Pro, it needs a Serato DJ Pro licence is activated on your Serato DJ account.
If your Serato DJ Pro version is unlocked by another DJ controller, then when this other DJ controller is not connected, the Serato DJ Pro licence is not activated.
