DJUCED 6.7.0 – Clone Deck 2 to Deck 4 does not copy playback position or playback state

Hi everyone,

I think I may have found a bug with the Clone Deck functionality in DJUCED 6.7.0. I am using DJUCED 6.7.0 with a DJControl Inpulse 300 and I am trying to use all four decks for a mix.

My setup is:
- Deck 1 + Deck 2: controlled using my physical controller.
- Deck 3 + Deck 4: used for simpler tasks directly in DJUCED, controlled through keyboard mappings.

What I would like to do is clone Deck 1 → Deck 3 and Deck 2 → Deck 4. The main problem I'm having is with Deck 2 → Deck 4.

I created this keyboard mapping for the "4" key:

chann=4 action=clone_deck value="2"

The command does execute: the same track is loaded onto Deck 4, however the current playback position and playback state are not copied.

For example, if Deck 2 is playing at 02:30, cloning it to Deck 4 loads the same track, but Deck 4 starts at the Cue/start position instead of 02:30, and it does not continue playing from the same position.

For comparison, I have this mapping for the "3" key:

chann=3 action=clone_deck value="1"

Deck 1 → Deck 3 works correctly, including the current playback position and playback state.

I also tested other ways of moving the track, but the problem does not seem to be limited to the keyboard mapping. I also tried:
- Dragging the currently playing track from Deck 2 to Deck 4 with the mouse
- Loading the track directly onto Deck 4 from the browser
- Cloning while Deck 2 was playing
- Cloning while Deck 2 was paused

The result is still that the track can be loaded, but the playback position is not transferred.

I tested cloning between all four decks to see if ther was a pattern:
- Deck 1 → Deck 2 = works
- Deck 1 → Deck 3 = works
- Deck 1 → Deck 4 = works
- Deck 2 → Deck 1 = works
- Deck 2 → Deck 3 = does not work
- Deck 2 → Deck 4 = does not work
- Deck 3 → Deck 1,2,4 = does not work
- Deck 4 → Deck 1,2,3 = does not work

The main issue I am interested in is Deck 2 → Deck 4. I am not necessarily expecting Deck 3 → Deck 1, Deck 4 → Deck 2, etc. to work (although I can see that this could be useful for other users). I tested those combinations simply to see whether there was a pattern.

The interesting part is that Deck 1 can be cloned to both Deck 3 and Deck 4 correctly, while Deck 2 cannot be cloned to either Deck 3 or Deck 4 with the playback position/state preserved.

I would expect Deck 2 → Deck 4 to behave the same way as Deck 1 → Deck 3:
- Same track is loaded
- Current playback position is copied
- If the source deck is playing, the destination deck continues playing from the same position

I tried contacting Hercules Technical Support through the support form linked from DJUCED, but the form keeps loading indefinitely and never submits, even after trying different connections and browsers. So I am posting the issue here instead.

Has anyone else experienced this with DJUCED 6.7.0? Is Deck 2 → Deck 4 supposed to work this way, or is this a known limitation/bug?
